The ISI Web of Knowledge Service is likely to be unavailable for a short while (approx 10 minutes) between 07.30 and 08.00 on Tuesday the 3rd July.

The year 2006 data for Journal Citation Reports (JCR) (part of the ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education) is now available.
It can be found on the Web of Knowledge website or via the Library website databases and e-books page by selecting Journal Citation Reports under the J menu. Please note you will need to login to AthensDA to access this service.

The Zetoc service is expected to be unavailable for 10 minutes from 7.30am on Tuesday the 3rd July but should be considered at risk until 8.00am that day.

We now have access to the 4th edition of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Encyclopedic Dictionary of Applied Geophysics via Scitation.
Access to journal collections in the Central Library – change of dates June 14, 2007

From the 9 July, the Central Library journals will be re-organised into a single A-Z sequence on Level 4.
This is expected to take 4 -5 weeks and during that time the area will be closed to readers. A journal fetching service will run throughout this period.
These moves were originally scheduled to take place in August, but have been brought forward to July. The Library webpage will be kept up to date on what is happening.

We now have access to the Oxford Reference Online: Core Collection for a trial period ending 31st May 2008.
The 145 titles include:

SCOAP3 is the Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics.
They have recently released a report on providing open access to all existing high energy physics journals.
