We have a number of series in the Maths Library, that due to various reasons can be quite hard to find. We hope to improve access to these titles, but for time being – here is some useful information for locating them:
Lecture Notes in Mathematics
- This can be found on the library catalogue as a journal title and is shelved in the journals collection in the Maths Library.
- Some volumes are catalogued individually – so you can try checking the library catalogue – but if you can’t find a title, it is worth physically checking the shelves in the Maths Library to see if we have a particular volume (or you can ring us or email us to check).
- See the Springer website Lecture Notes in Mathematics page for further information, though note we do not have electronic access to this title.
Advances in Applied Mechanics
- Can be found on the library catalogue as a journal title.
- Is shelved at 531 ADV in the Maths Library book collection.
- We hold from Volume 1 (1948 ) until Volume 40 (2004) – it is published irregularly and this is the most recent volume published.
Solid State Physics
- Monograph series
- Located in the book collection in the Maths Library at 538.9 SOL
- Can be searched for via the library catalogue as a journal title and some volumes are also catalogued as book titles.
We also have electronic access to all volumes of these titles:
- Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics
- Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics
You can find them via the library catalogue or the A-Z list of e-journals found on the library website.
Please do ask us if you are struggling to find any title in the Maths Library.
