Imperial’s open access (OA) publication fund exists to support researchers who would like to publish their research in open access publications. The fund is open to academic and postdoctoral staff employed at Imperial College London and will pay for open access publication costs for journal articles in open access journals or subscription journals that offer an open access option (hybrid journals).

Wolfram Research are holding a short seminar on Mathematica and its use in teaching and research. This is part of a wider series of seminars across the UK.
It will be held at Imperial College London on Wednesday 25th April 14.00 to 15.00 in room G01 RSM (Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provide after the seminar).

Physicist Jesús Rogel-Salazar has created a couple of videos on using LaTeX and posted them on his blog Quantum Tunnel.

OSA Topical Meetings
There are currently problems with saving PDFs opened from Science Direct. This is related to using Adobe X. To get around this, right click and ‘Save Target As’ on the PDF link within Science Direct instead of trying to save the PDF within Adobe.
We will let you know when this is fixed.
